Network Ireland Conference - Westport, Friday 25th September

Harnessing Opportunity in Changing Times,

Network Ireland National Conference,

Friday 25th September, Knockranny House Hotel, Westport, Co. Mayo.

Network Ireland’s National Conference, 2015 will take place on the 25th of September in Knockranny House Hotel, Westport. Over 200 of Ireland’s leading professional business women will join together to discuss, network and learn from one another and from a powerful line up of speakers whose expertise and knowledge will be utilized with a theme of Harnessing Opportunity for Women in Changing Times.

President of Network Ireland and Event Organiser, Olwen Dawe stated: “Fundamentally, this conference is about action - ensuring that everyone in attendance takes steps to develop themselves to achieve their potential, participating in changing the representation of women or reviewing how they might best get involved in advancing colleagues or themselves in leadership.”

Olwen added: “As an organisation which has, for over 30 years, supported the advancement of women in their chosen professional paths – Network Ireland this year focuses on what can be achieved, and what needs to be done to seize opportunity in a changing economic and social landscape.”

The MC for the one day conference will be Mayo native, academic and broadcaster Dr Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, while speakers and workshop facilitators will include; Anne O’Leary, CEO Vodafone Ireland, Terry Prone, Chair of The Communications Clinic, Niamh Gallagher, founder of Women for Election and Lulu O’Sullivan, CEO of 4GiftsDirect who is also on the Advisory Board of the entrepreneurship support initiative Going For Growth.

Speakers will describe their own experience of ‘harnessing opportunity’ during a changing economic climate - as leaders of companies, start-ups, divisions and founders of key initiatives. In addition, topics such as women in STEM, developing the representation of women in politics, government and leadership will also be discussed.

As well as this great programme, the winners of the 2015 ‘Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Award’ will be announced. The 3 winners from the Network Mayo Branch awards held in June 2015 going forward are:
