FRC’s Unite to Tackle Youth Unemployment

The Family Resource Centres have created a project aimed at 18-25 year-olds who are unemployed in the Mayo area. The Gaisce Community Project is a collaboration between Ballina, Westport, Castlebar and Ballinrobe Family Resource Centres, the Gaisce’s President’s Award, Mayo VEC, Mayo County Development Board, North East Leader Partnership and South West Mayo Development Company.

This project is to tackle isolation issues and build self-esteem among young people who are unemployed. Participants will learn invaluable skills as well as learning a new personal skill, and physical recreation will also be a priority.
