Last year the Mayo Business Awards returned with a gala awards evening in the the Twin Trees Hotel, Ballina on Friday November 6th 2016. Supported by Mayo Chambers and local business organisations in association with Mayo.ie and the Local Enterprise Office Mayo, the event looks set to once again become the flagship annual event and awards ceremony for businesses across Mayo.
This year’s awards were highly competitive in each category with high calibre businesses entering from right across the county. With the success of the event, it will now become an annual business occasion, and will move to a different town in Mayo each year.
The Mayo Business Awards look to recognise businesses across Mayo who have excelled or achieved success in the last year. Mayo has a very diverse business mix with many different businesses located throughout the county, this was reflected in the diversity of both the types of businesses who entered as well as the location of the businesses with many coming from smaller rural communities such as Louisburgh, Killala, Kilkelly and Cong as well as the traditional urban centres of Castlebar, Westport and Ballina.
The awards look to bring these businesses together under a common theme and to highlight their success and to reward the dedicated business people of Mayo, the awards were a fantastic occasion with businesses from all corners of the county in attendance to recognise the outstanding achievements of business people in Mayo.
