Export Documentation

Westport Chamber is officially authorised by Chambers Ireland to issue and certify export documentation such as Certificates of Origin, invoices and additional documentation.

A Certificate of Origin is a document attesting that goods in a particular export shipment are wholly obtained, produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country (country of origin). Virtually every country in the world considers the origin of imported goods when determining what duty will be assessed on the goods or, in some cases, whether the goods may be legally imported at all. To Register

Before a company can apply for a Certificate of Origin certain information is required by the Chamber:

  • The applicant must be based in the 26 counties and be registered with the Companies Registration Office.
  • An Indemnity Form must be completed by the company before the Chamber can provide certification service.
  • A list of authorised signatories for the company on the company's headed paper, with sample of signature, who will be authorised to sign applications for certificates on behalf of the company.

Tradecert

Westport Chamber also offer our clients the ability to apply online for Certificates of Origin and movement certificates using Tradecert.com. Once you are registered with Tradecert, it allows you to apply for certificates electronically and print them off from your office. Blank Certificates of Origin are still needed to print out Online Certificates and they can be acquired by contacting the Chamber.

O'Reilly & Turpin

Antoinette Turpin and Corry O'Reilly, the co-owners, have established an excellent reputation for supporting Irish craft and design. The shop was selected by the Craft Council of Ireland as one of the showcase shops for Irish Craft and Design.

The ranges of jewellery vary from costume jewellery made from both glass beads and exotic stones to sterling silver, silver/gold and gold plate, in both modern and classic designs.

The Irish designers that are Alan Ardiff, Garret Mallon, Saba, Alpha Zed, Sue Bowden, McGonigle Glass, Aliquo and Reaction.

The beautiful coloured glass is supplied by Kerry Crafted Glass. Terence MacSweeney, who is a master of glass blowing in Kerry Crafted Glass, using only recycled glass.

The ceramics are from various exciting Irish artists – Sinead Lough, Michael Kennedy, Louise Brown, Rachel Quinn, Sheila Flannery of Shelly Pots; and, new to the shop is the work of a young ceramist, Karen Morgan.
