Westport House Open Day in aid of Westport United

  Westport House will hold an Open Day from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday, June 15th 2014. All are welcome to join in the family fun of the Pirate Adventure Park, visit the historic house, try out the zip wire ride and our newest onsite adventure activity, achery tag. Urgent need for the Establishment of the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland

Chambers Ireland has today welcomed the announcement that a Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland will be established but called on Minister Noonan to make sure it is in place and operational as soon as possible. O'Reilly & Turpin

Antoinette Turpin and Corry O'Reilly, the co-owners, have established an excellent reputation for supporting Irish craft and design. The shop was selected by the Craft Council of Ireland as one of the showcase shops for Irish Craft and Design.

The ranges of jewellery vary from costume jewellery made from both glass beads and exotic stones to sterling silver, silver/gold and gold plate, in both modern and classic designs.

The Irish designers that are Alan Ardiff, Garret Mallon, Saba, Alpha Zed, Sue Bowden, McGonigle Glass, Aliquo and Reaction.

The beautiful coloured glass is supplied by Kerry Crafted Glass. Terence MacSweeney, who is a master of glass blowing in Kerry Crafted Glass, using only recycled glass.

The ceramics are from various exciting Irish artists – Sinead Lough, Michael Kennedy, Louise Brown, Rachel Quinn, Sheila Flannery of Shelly Pots; and, new to the shop is the work of a young ceramist, Karen Morgan.
